Matt is an experienced audit partner and business leader, with a track record of delivering high quality service to his clients, whilst driving high performance and growth within our firm, throughout his 30 years with Grant Thornton in both London and Sydney, including the last 20+ as a partner.

From 2009 – 2018 Matt held various business unit leader roles and was a member of the firm’s senior leadership team. As such, Matt was involved in driving culture change, developing go to market strategies, implementing client experience programs, negotiation of mergers and then leading subsequent integration, as well as being accountable for all aspects of day to day operations for business units up to $75m turnover. After a decade in senior leadership roles, Matt has now moved back to a full-time client-facing role, focussed primarily in the financial services and professional services industries. He currently acts as lead relationship partner for a number of the firm’s largest clients including:

global lead partner for major law firm client operating in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, UK and Europe
lead audit partner for an ASX listed fund manager with market cap of over $200m and fund under management in excess of $3bn
lead relationship partner for one of the leading commercial real estate companies in Australia
